It Remains, Act II External Artist Competition | It Remains X Beam

Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: 18.08.2025

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE PARTICIPATING IN THE “IT REMAINS, ACT 2” EXTERNAL ARTIST COMPETITION (THE “COMPETITION”). BY ENTERING THE COMPETITION, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS.

1. Organizer

This Competition is organized by Yellow Mouth Studios LTD, Stefan Karadzha nr.10, 1000, Sofia, Bulgaria in partnership with the  Beam Interface, a Cayman Islands exempted company (“Organizers”).

2. Eligibility

• The Competition is open to individuals aged 18 years or older at the time of entry.
• No purchase is necessary to enter.
• Participants must not be residents of jurisdictions where participation in such competitions is prohibited by law.
• Participants must have an active digital wallet to potentially receive digital currency (token-based) rewards.

3. Submission Rules

  Late submissions will not be considered.
• Submissions must be original works of art, either hand-drawn or digitally illustrated.
• AI-generated artwork or art partially created using AI tools is allowed.
• Participants must retain proof of authorship, including work-in-progress copies of the source files  at three stages of development (for purely 2d workflows those stages are “sketch”, “rough colors”, “final touchup”) (for 3d and 2d/3d hybrid workflows those stages should be considered by analogy to the prior type workflow) and  videos, and provide it if requested. Should there be any misunderstanding on the part of a participant about aforementioned stages it is incumbent upon the participant to contact Yellow Mouth Studios LTD for clarification at ask@itremains.io
• Each participant may submit multiple entries per prompt, across one or more of the 10 chapter prompts.

How to Enter

To enter the Competition:

1. Download the It Remains mobile app.
2. Create original artwork (as further detailed in Section 3 above) in response to one or more of the 20 creative briefs released by the Organizer.
3. Select a chapter prompt and upload your submission using the in-app submission form.
4. Connect your wallet in the app
5. Submit your artwork through the app in JPEG or PNG format (max size 5MB).
6. There is no limit to the number of entries per participant.

4. Artwork Requirements

• Dimensions: A4 (portrait) or A3 (landscape) at 300 DPI.
• Submission upload format: JPEG or PNG (max 5MB).
• Winner participants are required to send Yellow Mouth LTD (ask@itremains.io) a copy of their submission source files 
• Shortlisted participants must email proof of authorship  at ask@itremains.io within 72 hours of their announcement as shortlisted participants In the unforeseen event that is impossible they must inform Yellow Mouth LTD within 72 hours at ask@itremains.io

 

6. Selection Process

Stage 1: Jury Selection

• A jury will shortlist 50 entries based it’s own discretion as per the contest announcement posted publicly on Yellow Mouth LTD social media outlets .
• Shortlisted participants must provide proof of authorship within 72 hours of being announced as such, and/or contacted.
• After authorship verification, shortlisted artworks will be submitted to a public community vote within the It Remains Immersive app.
•  5 jury-selected artists will each receive $750 in BEAM and $750 in Resister tokens and their artwork will be published inside Act2. They will not be submitted to a public vote. 

Stage 2: Community Voting

• Shortlisted entries will be announced and made available for community voting inside the It Remains Immersive app.
• Each registered user can vote once, distributing 5, 3, and 1 point to their top 3 preferred entries.
• 10 final winners will be selected based on community vote and will receive $500 in BEAM and $500 in Resister tokens.

7. Prizes

5 winning participants selected by a jury panel will receive:

• Artwork feature in the printed edition of It Remains, Act 2.
• $750 worth of BEAM tokens.
• $750 worth of RESISTER tokens.

10 winning participants selected by community vote will receive:

• Artwork feature in the printed edition of It Remains, Act 2.
• $500 worth of BEAM tokens.
• $500 worth of RESISTER tokens.

 Community Raffle:

• 50 random voters: $25 in BEAM + $25 in Resister tokens.
• 10 random voters: high-quality print of Act I artwork.
• 5 random voters: physical copy of the Act I immersive novel.

 

8. Intellectual Property & Usage Rights

• By submitting an artwork, participants retain ownership of their work?.
• By submitting, participants grant the Organizers a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to, reproduce, distribute, and display their submitted artwork in perpetuity in connection with:

• Promotion of the It Remains intellectual property and art contest
• All relevant Social media and marketing campaigns.

• Winners grant the Organizer worldwide ownership and copyright in perpetuity. This includes, but is not limited to, the right to use the artwork for any purposes in all media, worldwide, and in perpetuity. Participant shall be named where possible and customary in the respective medium or the corresponding use. of related to the It Remains intellectual property  and its marketing, s

9. Disqualification

Submissions may be disqualified if participant:

• submits plagiarized or AI-generated work.
• Fails to submit proof of creation in timely manner.
• Violates any of the terms laid out in this document.
• Attempts to manipulate votes or interfere with the integrity of the competition.
• The entry is deemed inappropriate, offensive, or irrelevant to the theme.

10. Token Delivery and Vesting

• Prizes will be delivered in BEAM and RESISTER tokens through the It Remains app.
• Winners must connect a valid wallet to the It Remains Immersive App within 7 days of the announcement to claim the prize.
• The Organizer is not responsible for wallet setup or management issues.
• Token value may fluctuate, and the Organizer is not responsible for changes in market value.
• Winners are responsible for any tax liabilities that may arise from receiving rewards.

11. Data & Privacy

• The Organizer will collect and store information necessary to run the competition, including names, contact information, wallet addresses, and submitted files.
• Data will be stored securely and not shared with third parties, except as needed to facilitate prize delivery or display submissions.
• By entering, you consent to having your name, profile, and artwork shared publicly on It Remains and Beam platforms.

Personal data collected will be processed in accordance with the Organizer’s Privacy Policy and used solely for the administration of the Competition and prize delivery.

12. Limitation of Liability

The Organizer shall not be liable for:

• Incomplete, lost, delayed, or corrupted entries.
• Technical issues related to app usage or submission.
• Any loss of tokens due to user error or incorrect wallet information.
• Any legal or tax obligations the participant may incur.

13. Modification or Cancellation

The Organizer reserves the right to modify or cancel the Competition at any time due to force majeure or other unforeseen circumstances. If modified, a notice will be posted on the official It Remains social media channels and app.

The Organizer reserves the right to amend the Terms at any time. Any updates will be communicated through the official competition landing page and/or in-app notifications.

14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Bulgaria.

What Data We Collect

When you participate in the It Remains: Act 2 External Artist Competition, we may collect the following personal data:

• Your name or artist pseudonym
• Email address or other contact information
• Wallet address (to issue rewards)
• Submitted artwork and associated metadata
• Optional profile information (e.g., bio, portfolio links)

How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to:

• Manage your participation in the competition
• Communicate important updates or requests (e.g., shortlisting, proof of creation)
• Distribute rewards and tokens securely
• Display your name, artwork, and artist profile if shortlisted or selected as a winner
• Improve the competition and app experience

The legal basis for such use of the data is Art. 6 Sec. 1 lit a) and f) GDPR.

How We Store and Protect It

• All data is stored on secure servers and protected using industry-standard security measures.
• Only authorized team members and partners (e.g., reward issuers, jury) have access to your information.

Who We Share It With

We do not sell or rent your data. We may share it with trusted third parties only when necessary to:

• Distribute rewards (e.g., token transfers via blockchain)
• Display entries publicly on It Remains and Beam social media platforms
• Communicate with selected jury members or partners for voting or promotion

Your Rights

If you are located in the EU/EEA or another region with similar laws, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Request correction or deletion
• Object to or restrict processing
• Withdraw consent (which may disqualify you from the competition)

Data Retention

We will retain your data only as long as needed to facilitate the completion of the Art Contest in complieance with ourlegal obligations to Bulgarian and European Union law. Artwork and winner info may remain visible on promotional materials and in the published graphic novel.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if legal requirements or operational changes arise. Participants will be notified through the app or official website.
