Share your rendition of the universe of the Yellow Mouth. Get inspired by the themes of the 20 chapters in Act II of It Remains. Contribute to as many chapters as you’d like, as much as you’d like - let creativity be the only limit. Show us your talent, capture the audience and become part of the story.

It Remains seeks light in the darkness. Vivid is the text of this story but drowned in gloom. However, the visuals, often resemble almost a child’s colouring book, representing the counter point and juxtaposition of styles and inner feeling, the creators strived to express. When drawing for the contest, artist are encouraged to refer to the color palette of Ed Mattinian’s illustrations in It Remains: Act 1.

In a world destroyed by war, pollution, and overconsumption, all that remains is bone, dust, plastic, and the distant memory of what once was. At the heart of this desolate wasteland is a mysterious yellow lake known simply as the Yellow Mouth, which devours everything in its vicinity. Two survivors, known only as It and Its Father, are Resisters of the Yellow Mouth, fighting to preserve what little is left of human knowledge, culture, and drive.


JURY CRITERIA

The jury will be open to any and all stylistic reinterpretations of the characters and world of It Remains. Be as loose as your heart desires, or submit as detailed and refined a work of art as your patience allows for. Submit in multiple styles if you want. Follow proper composition like a good boi or break with rules as deeply as you'd like. Stick to color theory truly, or practice chromatic anarchy. The jury will excersiсe it's subjective judgment, and reserves it's right to be as explicit as it feels necessary.

Can I submit more than one artwork?
Yes! You can submit as many pieces as you like, even multiple entries per chapter.
Do I need a crypto wallet to enter the contest?
No. You can submit artwork without connecting a wallet. However, if you win, a connected wallet is required to receive the prize in Beam and Resister tokens.
Can I participate with AI-generated art?
Yes. AI-generated or AI-assisted artwork is allowed.
What formats and sizes are accepted?
Submit .jpeg or .png files up to 5MB. Finalists will be asked to send print-ready files in .tiff/.rgb format. Artwork should be A4 (portrait) or A3 (landscape).
Do I have to download the app to join?
Yes. All submissions and voting take place inside the It Remains mobile app, available on iOS and Android.
How does voting work?
Once jury selection ends, the community will vote in the app. Each user can vote for 3 artworks.
When are winners announced?
Winners will be announced on October 19th, after the jury and community voting rounds are complete.
What happens if I’m selected as a finalist?
You'll be asked to provide proof of creation (e.g., progress images or video). Then, your artwork will enter the public voting stage.
